Clarify what needs to be done. 
Offer encouragement. 
Help you keep score and stay focused. 
Provide you with much-needed support when the going gets tough and make life seem easier. 

Begin by deciding on "What" to improve on. 

Step 1. Ask yourself "How can I Be and Do Better?" 
Whether it is to improve skills, change behaviour, or better your family life or business. What is it for you? 
Computer skills? Your typing speed? Your sales skills? Maybe your cooking skills, 
health and fitness, money management, or perhaps playing the piano? 
What do you need or want to do? 
"I need to get my company's books finalized." 
"I need to clean out the attic." 
"I need to make an appointment for medical tests that I have been avoiding." 
"I need to better promote my business." 
Maybe there is a conversation that you have been avoiding.. Maybe something that you want to do? Change your career, or further your education? 
Identify the steps you need to take to accomplish this task. 
Once you have identified "What" you are ready for the next step. 

Step 2. "By When will you do it?" 
"Sometime" becomes a commitment when a date is set. 
The deadline energy of having an appointment, or with assignments due can motivate completion and give you an incentive to even do more. 

Step 3. Report "When you've done it!" 
This is the most important part. Once you have completed your task, report immediately to your fellow High Yellow 
Success Team members that you have done it. 
We will help you Celebrate, and give you the recognition you deserve and ask the question: "What is the next task that you need, want or have to do?" 
Your role as a member of your High Yellow Success Team is to become genuinely interested in helping the members of your team become better at what she/he is doing. You will, of course, also be working on the tasks that are important for your own success and happiness!

Back in the days of my misspent youth I remember going out for the evening with friends while on a business trip to Paris wearing a canary YELLOW shirt, YELLOW jeans, YELLOW jacket and........wait for it.........yes.......YELLOW underpants.

We ended up at Au Pied de cochon where the decor, drapes, tablecloths and the waiter's aprons were all YELLOW!

And yes, I am a real man

I think there is significant mileage in helping colours understand one another, and work with one another.
So we need to bring out the benefits of each of the colours as a market message, and the benefits of team working, also speaking different "colour languages".

High Yellow Tip to Multiply Effectiveness

High Yellows, like brainstorming and generating fresh ideas and dislike tedium and routine.

To be more effective:  You need to Practice Active Listening

You can erase and replace this limiting pattern by changing your inner dialogue, the way you talk to yourself,helping you to Connect with  those on a different wavelength than you i.e.High Greens,High Blues,and High Reds.

iMA High Yellow Power Thoughts….carefully worded positive self instructions  if repeated on a regular basis will help you to replace old limiting patterns of behaviour.Mentally or audibly repeat each statement, accept each one as being true and feel the energy and empowerment that arises with your acceptance.

I am a good listener.

I always encourage others to talk about themselves.

I always practice active listening

I always seek and acknowledge the opinion of others

I always make the other person feel important and do it sincerely

I always show respect for the other person’s opinions

I always pause when speaking to give others a chance to speak

Tip: when others are talking take note where your tongue is placed. It should be at the bottom of your mouth resting on your lower teeth, if it is above your lower teeth, it means that you are waiting for the other person to finish so that you can speak, meaning that you are not listening to what they are saying.

Self confidence is fundamental to a High Yellows success,happiness and future.

High Yellow Tip 2 to Multipy Effectiveness

Dear High Yellow

Your ability to continually generate fresh ideas is a good thing, however out of this strength grows the weakness of inability to focus your attention, which is a limiting pattern that can  hold you back from achieving what you want.

To be more effective you need to erase and replace this limiting pattern by developing the habit of thinking clearly.This is a skill, and it can be learned.

TIP: To help you develop the habit of clarity,you must learn how to be more Specific in everything you do. 

 To help you clarify your thinking start using what Dale Carnegie called

 the "Six Honest Serving Men".  Before taking action, Ask yourself, who, what, when, where, how, and why? 
Focus on answering the 5W's and the H when talking with others and you will be amazed about how much you will learn about people and how your relationships will be enriched as a result.

Write it down to make it happen!

You can be better if you learn how to talk to yourself in carefully worded positive statements that if repeated on a regular basis will help you to replace old programming . 

Mentally or audibly  say, "Be Specific"." Be Specific"
Put it on a 3 x5 card and review it several times each day.

This is a “right thing” that when practiced, people will start recognizing that you're doing something differently. They will start to give you positive reinforcement, and with continuous application.,you will not get into the habit of seeing things more clearly, you will be empowered with valuable new skill.
